Run the Jewels share details of their fourth studio album

Guest stars include Pharrell, 2 Chainz and Zack de la Rocha.

Run the Jewels—aka El-P and Killer Mike—have shared new details of their highly anticipated fourth studio full-length, Run the Jewels 4.

The album, which is slated for release on June 5, is the latest installment in the duo’s self-titled series. The new record arrives almost four years since their last Run the Jewels LP. Tracks from the new album out so far are “Yankee and the Brave (ep 4)” and “Ooh La La.”

Run the Jewels 4 will also feature contributions from a slew of musicians including Pharrell Williams, 2 Chainz, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Zack de la Rocha from Rage Against the Machine (who previously appeared on “Close Your Eyes (and Count to Fuck)” from Run the Jewels 2). Gospel singer Mavis Staples will also make an appearance. Check out the album cover art here:

According to a press release, Run the Jewels 4 was recorded between Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La Studios and New York City’s Electric Lady Studios. The 11-track album is an accumulation of “two years of intensive writing, recording, distilling, and amplifying the most potent elements of [Run the Jewels’] music.”

El-P and Killer Mike have previously described the new album as their “strongest project together yet.” “We really caught a groove this record, I will say that,” Killer Mike told GQ. “We’ve always had moments where a groove peaks up, like something you could bop your shoulders to and move your ass to. To me, this record caught a groove and rode it. This is a Run the Jewels record with a serious move and groove to it. This one is definitely gonna be ‘move-ya-ass’ music and I’m ecstatic about it, ’cause I like dancing.”
