Run the Jewels, Blink-182’s Travis Barker release “Forever”

Their first collaboration since 2014.

Run the Jewels have reunited with Blink-182’s Travis Barker on a new single called “Forever.”

Killer Mike and El-P rap about inequality, religion and more on the politically-charged track over Barker’s fervent drumming. “Rap’s Rasputin, I’m pullin’ pumps on pompous ass preachers and shootin’ / I’m sittin’ on the last pew-pew-pewin’ / One day the poor will eat the affluent / Hope you atone for you past doings,” Killer Mike spits.

El-P answers back after, jumping in with his own verse: “Balderdash, you not gettin’ past rap’s Putin / Who ride a horse, bareback, shootin’ / A champ in the land of the stupid / The kind that take the candy out kids’ hands and laugh in amusement.”

“Forever” marks Run the Jewels’ first collaboration with Barker since he joined them on Run the Jewels 2 in 2014. Earlier this year, the rap duo released their RTJ4 album.
