Royce Da 5’9” shares one-take video for “I Don’t Age”

The song appeared on his Grammy-nominated album, ‘The Allegory.’

Royce Da 5’9” has released a video for “I Don’t Age” from his Grammy-nominated album The Allegory.

The one-take video, directed by Joe LeFleur, tracks the Detroit rapper through his luxurious house as he hangs out with his friends—including fellow Slaughterhouse alum KXNG Crooked—and crafts new beats at his kitchen table.

“Too icy to be fightin’, too godly for a battle rap / Too nice to be in cyphers, too deep for moderation / Too free for exoneration and seekin’ validation / Young, black, receivin’ salutations,” he spits.

According to a press statement, the clip was released almost exactly one year after The Allegory to mark the album’s first anniversary. Royce will also follow the new video with his first-ever virtual concert, which will be hosted by the app Yoop on March 11.

“I haven’t done a live performance since COVID… then came Yoop!” Royce said. “They presented the perfect opportunity and I’m excited about the partnership as they provide the best technology I have seen. Yoop brings performances to life and I can’t wait to interact with my fans by bringing them a show that is more than a year overdue.”
