RMR releases debut EP, ‘Drug Dealing is a Lost Art’

Featuring Future, Lil Baby and Westside Gunn.

RMR has unveiled his debut EP, Drug Dealing is a Lost Art.

The project features the mysterious balaclava-clad artist’s viral single “Rascal”—a rework of Rascal Flatt’s “Bless the Broken Road”—and the Future and Lil Baby-assisted remix of “Dealer.” Other songs include the previously released “I’m Not Over You” and the Westside Gunn-assisted “Welfare.” The EP was originally due out on May 29 but was delayed for unannounced reasons.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, RMR—pronounced “rumor”—explained what it was like working with Timbaland on the project, who produced “I’m Not Over You.”

“I was writing right before [‘Rascal’] came out, but working with Timbaland and my in-house producers, [now] I know better,” he said. “I write records really fast, so when I get with a producer and they play me something, I’ll just go in the booth and start writing on my phone. I get the melody down first. So, most of the records on the EP came afterward.”
