RMR drops gritty “Welfare” video featuring Westside Gunn

The latest visual from his ‘Drug Dealing is a Lost Art’ EP.

RMR has released a video for his Westside Gunn-assisted song, “Welfare.”

According to Complex, the gritty video was shot in both Atlanta and Los Angeles. Director Cameron Dean follows the rappers as they go about their everyday lives, from hanging out with their crew on the front porch to racing their luxury whips around their neighborhood.

Elsewhere in the video, RMR sits on a throne made out of cash while spitting lines about his decision to start a rap career: “Had to go and get it, my mama stuck on welfare / Need the new Mercedes, I need a bitch like Offset / Windows tinted, you can’t see me now.”

“Welfare” appears on RMR’s debut EP Drug Dealing is a Lost Art, which arrived in June. The eight-track project included the song “I’m Not Over You” and the masked rapper’s hit single “Rascal,” a rework of “Bless the Broken Road” by country band Rascal Flatts.
