Rico Nasty works “Magic” on new single

The first release from her upcoming mixtape, ‘Rx.’

Rico Nasty has shared her breezy new single, “Magic.”

The Avedon-produced track is the first to come from her forthcoming mixtape, Rx. On “Magic,” Rico rhymes about a flourishing romance over a flute-laced instrumental.

“I be busy but I like to spend my time with you / Life is what you make it, I wanna spend mine with you / Stamped passports, foreign dashboards / Buy you gifts that you ain’t asked for, that’s why you get more,” she spits. “If I’m feelin’ down, you won’t let me fall / No matter where I’m at, you know you can call.”

Rx will mark the official follow-up to Rico’s 2020 studio debut album, Nightmare Vacation. So far, the Washington, DC native has said the tape will feature the likes of Flo Milli and G Herbo, and arrive sometime this summer. Earlier this month, Rico also appeared on the F9 soundtrack on the song “Speed it Up” alongside NLE Choppa. Prior to that, she featured on “Art of War” with Jasiah and Denzel Curry.
