Rich Brian shares “unfinished” video for “Love in My Pocket”

The rapper says he “ran out of budget for VFX.”

Rich Brian is back with a video for his new single, “Love in My Pocket.”

The track features the 88rising artist half-singing, half-rapping over an upbeat production by Bekon and Rappy. In a press release, Brian said the song is about “living in an environment of attention being sought with love happening around you that you feel like you deserve to experience but don’t know how to get, and fears being conquered.”

“I got love up in my pocket and I don’t know what to do with it / I got love up in my rocket and I don’t know what to do with it / I got you up in my dreams but I’m on stuck in a reality / That you never really felt the same, it’s more like you were using me,” he sings.

The accompanying video, which is “unfinished,” features the rapper performing in a green screen room while walking on a treadmill. The visual also opened with a title card where the rapper noted that “I couldn’t go on tour this year so I ran out of budget for VFX on this video.”

“Love in My Pocket” follows Brian’s Guapdad 4000-assisted single, “Bali.” Earlier this year, he dropped a homemade video for “Tokyo Drift Freestyle,” which samples The Teriyaki Boyz’s 2006 song “Tokyo Drift (Fast & Furious).”
