Reason shares video for “Sauce” featuring Vince Staples

Another taste of the TDE rapper’s forthcoming album, ‘New Beginnings.’

Reason shows fans a day in his life in the video for his new song “Sauce,” featuring Vince Staples.

The clip follows the rapper as he cruises down palm-tree lined streets and hits the town with his crew. “Riding ’round town on Sunset / Cali weed loud like Funk Flex / Road trips, low drip, don’t rush shit,” he raps.

Though Staples doesn’t appear in the clip, he does lend a somber verse about police brutality and violence. “I don’t rock with the police none / Don’t ditch the Glock when the police come / They gon’ shoot a n***a anyway,” he spits.

“Sauce” is set to appear on Reason’s upcoming sophomore album, New Beginnings, alongside the previously released “The Soul (Pt 2)” and “Pop Shit” featuring Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate Schoolboy Q. It will be the follow-up to 2018’s There You Have it.
