Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee wants to vacation in “Guatemala”

The breezy track, set to appear on the hip hop duo’s triple album 'SR3MM,' ups Swae’s cred as a solo artist.

Swae Lee, one half of the sibling duo Rae Sremmurd, yesterday dropped “Guatemala.” It’s a breezy tune—which also features his brother Slim Jxmmi—that might just prove Swae has the chops to cut it on his own as a solo artist.

“Guatemala” sounds like if Rae Sremmurd had hailed from the white sands of a beach rather than their native Mississippi. Swae’s catchy hooks now float above a summery production courtesy of Mally Mall that’s more tropical house than hip hop. “We can get away-ay, maybe to Guatemala / Got me going deep, got me all in freshwater,” he goes, before his brother stretches out the tune with another laid-back verse.

The track is set to appear on Swaecation, which is Swae’s solo record that’s one part of Rae Sremmurd’s triple album SR3MM. The album will drop later this month.
