Quelle Chris drops new track, “Straight Shot”

He doesn’t miss on this new single from his upcoming album, ‘Guns.’

Quelle Chris has dropped a new single, “Straight Shot,” featuring Cavalier, Bilal Salaam, pianist Eldar Djangirov and British comedian James Acaster.

In the song, the Detroit wordsmith recruits fellow emcee Cavalier to rap earnestly about growing up as underdogs who faced adversity. Flowing smoothly over the buttery piano-driven beat, Salaam joins in to deliver an optimistic chorus: “Everything is just a straight shot from here / All we need is just a straight shot from here.” The song wraps up with a jazzy piano solo by Djangirov and a spoken word outro by Chris and Acaster.

“Straight Shot” is the second release after “Guns,” the title track of Chris’ upcoming album which is due out March 29. He previously released Being You is Great, I Wish I Could Be You More Often in 2017 and a joint album with his wife Jean Grae, Everything’s Fine, last March.
