Atlanta-based label Quality Control Music has unveiled two new singles, “Come On” by Saweetie, City Girls and DJ Durel, and “Baby” by Lil Baby and DaBaby. Both singles are off the label’s forthcoming compilation, Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 2.
On “Come On,” City Girls and Saweetie flow over the catchy, twerk-ready beat provided by DJ Durel, spitting bars about being hunting for big tippers. “Girl, come on / It’s time to get it, girl, they playin’ our song / Let’s make ’em spend it on us all night long / It’s time to get it.” goes the chorus.
“Baby,” on the other hand, features Lil Baby and DaBaby going hard over a menacing Wheezy-produced beat. Lil Baby opens the track with rhymes about still being from the streets despite his millions: “Baby got the streets on hold, he ain’t drop yet / I’ve been goin’ hard, it’s gon’ be hard for you to top that / I make it look easy, but this shit really a process / I’m really a millionaire, still in the projects.”
DaBaby joins in during the song’s second half, comparing himself to P Diddy, head honcho of Bad Boy Records. “Huh? Baby prolly still got them ’bows / I tell my bitch I’m faithful, but I still got the hoes / Baby gettin’ jiggy, on stage with the Glizzy / Baby CEO, he shake the game like he Diddy,” he raps.
QC’s Quality Control: Control the Streets Volume 2 comp is scheduled for release on August 16. Listen to “Come On” and “Baby” below.
