Pusha T, Vince Staples join forces with DIVINE for “Jungle Mantra”

The song appears on the soundtrack for ‘The White Tiger.’

Pusha T and Vince Staples have joined forces with Indian rapper DIVINE for “Jungle Mantra.”

DIVINE kicks off the lively track with the hypnotic chorus, performed in Hindi: “The real animals are outside, but they shut zoos / Broken the chains, time to be free and move / This is that jungle, jungle, jungle mantra / Gotta do or die, yeah man.”

Staples jumps on after with clever wordplay and Pusha later wraps up the song with a braggadocious verse. “If I rebel, the cell they put me in / The jail you made for me, you dwellin’ in / Makin’ dollars makes a lot of sense / Watch my masters live off my expense / ’Sace robe, a penthouse at the Ritz / Rush the paper fourth and inches blitz,” Push spits.

“Jungle Mantra” will appear on the official soundtrack for The White Tiger, an upcoming Netflix film based on Aravind Adiga’s 2008 novel of the same name. The film, which stars Rajkummar Rao and Priyanka Chopra, will hit the streaming service on January 22.

Last month, Pusha revealed that a follow-up to his 2018 album DAYTONA is currently underway. He also announced that the record will feature production from frequent collaborator Kanye West and The Neptunes, the producer duo of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo. On the other hand, Staples previously starred in Reason’s video for “Sauce.”
