Post Malone covered two country songs for the recent We’re Texas virtual concert, which was held on Sunday.

The rapper closed out the two-hour event, hosted by Matthew McConaughey in support of fellow Texans after the state’s historic winter storm last month, with Brad Paisley’s “I’m Gonna Miss Her” and Sturgill Simpson’s “You Can Have the Crown.” He described the songs as two of his “favorite country-esque tunes.”

“I’m very grateful and happy to be a part of this,” said Posty, who spent much of his childhood in Dallas. During the special, viewers were also encouraged to donate to help Texans following unprecedented freezing temperatures that caused devastating electricity and water shortages throughout much of the state. Other artists who performed included Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson.

Earlier this month, Malone teamed up with Alabama rapper Clever on a new version of the late Juice WRLD’s “Life’s a Mess.” He also recently released a cover of Hootie and the Blowfish’s “Only Wanna Be With You.”
