Polo G made an appearance on the June 16 episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform a soulful rendition of his song “So Real.”
Seated in a high chair and surrounded by lasers, Polo G performed the Hall of Fame track with help from a live band.
“Uh, say she is the truth, say she is so real / And I love the way that you make me feel / When it’s time to show affection again / Look her in her eyes like, ‘You’re mine,’ that’s no lie,” Polo rhymes on the hook.
In an interview segment, the rapper also spoke with Corden about the album’s star-studded list of features, as well as his plans to sponsor a children’s basketball team in his hometown of Chicago.
“So Real” is a cut from his third record, Hall of Fame, which he dropped on June 11. The album featured singles such as “Rapstar,” “GNF (OKOKOK)” and “Epidemic.” Polo also teamed up with his childhood hero Lil Wayne on the track “Gang Gang.”
The Chicago rapper also recently unveiled music videos for his other cuts from Hall of Fame, including “Painting Pictures” and “Party Lyfe,” which enlists DaBaby. The album is the follow-up to his 2020 record, The Goat.
