Polo G drops inspirational video for “Wishing for a Hero”

The song features BJ the Chicago Kid and samples a Tupac classic.

Polo G has released a moving video for “Wishing for a Hero,” a cut from his latest album, The Goat. The track samples Tupac Shakur’s classic 1998 hit, “Changes,” and features BJ the Chicago Kid.

In the clip, Polo spotlights the Black Lives Matter movement by showing how police brutality affects a community. “RIP Malcom, I promise to conquer and fill them gaps / Them corners leave a n***a boxed in, tryna break free / Crazy how I love the same block that tried to break me / Pray that I ain’t in my own hood when they take me,” he spits.

“Wishing for a Hero” is the latest visual from The Goat following clips for “33,” “DND” and “First Place.” Besides BJ the Chicago Kid, the album featured appearances from Stunna 4 Vegas, Mustard, the late Juice WRLD and more.
