Somebody go and give Offset a big hug. Because on Saturday night, the Migos rapper decided, incredulously, that hijacking his estranged wife’s set at a festival was the best way to win her back. Spoiler alert: It wasn’t.
Cardi B was slaying at the Rolling Loud Festival when, all of a sudden, a “Take Me Back Cardi” sign was carted on stage in the middle of a song. Offset soon appeared wielding a microphone, into which he proclaimed like a thuggish Lloyd Dobler to a bemused Bardi: “I just want to tell you I’m sorry, babe. In person, in front of the world.”
Safe to say Cardi was not impressed. From the video, you can see her shaking her head and mouthing, off-microphone, a few words to Offset. Some awkward conversation followed and, probably sensing something wrong, the crew dimmed the lights and cut off his mic. He then quickly, and timidly, walked it like he talked it… all the way off the stage.
It was like watching a car crash. Witness it for yourself here:
