Octavian recruits Future for new song, “Rari (Chapter 1)”

Skepta has signed to executive produce Octavian’s debut album.

Octavian has enlisted Future for “Rari (Chapter 1),” a new track from his forthcoming debut album.

The track, produced by Jim-E Stack, showcases Octavian’s “experimental indie leanings,” according to a press release. The song is also about “the story of companionship and looking forward to brighter days ahead.”

The accompanying music video opens with French-British rapper holding a still-beating heart while standing in a field of roses. It then cuts to him racing down a highway in a sports car, seemingly chasing after his lover. But he loses control of the vehicle, and the visual ends with a bloodstained yet gorgeous shot of Octavian embracing his lover.

Octavian’s as-yet-untitled debut album is set to be executive produced by Skepta and will be split into three “chapters.” Last month, the rapper released his Endorphins mixtape. On the other hand, Future and Metro Boomin officially released “Slow Down” last week, after it leaked earlier this year.
