Nyck Caution drops black-and-white “Coat Check / Session 47” MV

The song appeared on his new album, ‘Anywhere But Here.’

Nyck Caution has shared a black-and-white visual for his two-part song “Coat Check / Session 47,” which arrived on his latest album, Anywhere But Here.

The Fakedell-directed clip opens triumphantly with the friendship-focused “Coat Check.” The Pro Era rapper jumps around with his squad, including Dessy Hinds, Kid Super, Dyemond Lewis, Ken Cash and Aaron Rose. It also features a tribute to Pop Smoke.

“Life’s too short and we all be stressed / But we still woke up so we all be blessed / Just another kid from the city tryna shine like them / But I’m not like them, why we all be pressed / There’s enough for us both, we could all be fed,” he spits.

It then transitions to the sombre “Session 47,” a minute of soul-baring bars that Nyck fittingly delivers from a therapist’s office: “I got some family I worry about / Starting to feel they worry ’bout me / Way more than I be worried ’bout them / ’Cause I keep everything buried beneath.”

Anywhere But Here also included features from Joey Bada$$, Denzel Curry, GASHI, Kota the Friend, Erick the Architect, CJ Fly and more. The album follows Nyck’s 2020 EP Open Flame.
