A new Noname album is currently underway.
The Chicago rapper casually announced the news yesterday on Twitter, revealing that a follow-up to her 2018 debut full-length, Room 25, will arrive sometime next year. “I don’t really talk about my music much on here but I’m dropping an album 2020 if anybody’s interested,” she tweeted.

Noname—real name Fatimah Nyeema Warner—released Room 25 last September. The 11-track record featured a slew of contributions from Adam Ness, Phoelix, Ravyn Lenae, Smino and Saba, among others. In an interview with the FADER, Noname revealed that she put out the album to essentially make ends meet. “It came to a point where it was, like, I needed to make an album because I need to pay my rent,” she explained.
She recently formed the rap collective Ghetto Sage with frequent collaborators Saba and Smino. The trio made their debut in October with the song, “Häagen Dazs.”
