Tyga has just released the remix for his newest single “Dip,” featuring Nicki Minaj, alongside a futuristic, yet familiar visual.
According to a press release, the clip was inspired by Michael and Janet Jackson’s Grammy-winning “Scream” video. Similar to the 1995 version, the Arrad- and Tyga-directed visual adopts the same monochrome palette and finds the rappers defying gravity. They bounce off walls and hang upside down with the help of some voodoo dolls. Elsewhere, the pair rock various stylish fits and are accompanied by twerking dancers.
On a recent episode of Minaj’s Beats 1 show Queen Radio, the “Chun-Li” rapper talked about filming the music video with T-Raww. “It reminded me of shooting ‘FEFE’ with 6ix9ine. We started late, but ended [up] having fun,” she said.
