Nicki Minaj remixes DaBaby’s “Suge (Yea Yea)”

A fiery rendition with savage wordplay.

Nicki Minaj is back with new music. Last Friday, during her Queen Radio takeover of Los Angeles’ Power 106 station, the rapper premiered her version of DaBaby’s smash hit “Suge (Yea Yea).”

The rework opens with DaBaby’s familiar chorus, before Onika jumps in with her fiery verse. Over the Pooh Beatz- and JetsonMade-produced beat, she serves up some savage wordplay: “Drug lord, Griselda, I used to move weight through Delta / So stay in your place ’cause I don’t wanna put you in a shelter / I’m cookin’ up in the kitchen, you could be my little helper.”

The remix comes hot on the heels of Minaj’s latest single, “Megatron,” which is the rapper’s first post-Queen release. She previously teamed up with Trina on “BAPS” and contributed to Avril Lavigne’s “Dumb Blonde.”
