Nicki Minaj owns the throne in “Hard White” MV

She’s the ‘Queen’ and we’re all just her subjects.

“Hard White” has been a fan favorite since Nicki Minaj dropped her latest LP, Queen, last August. Today, the song has finally been given the video treatment.

In the clip, Minaj aptly plays the queen of a dark, twisted kingdom. Featuring several costume changes and a handful of eccentric crowns, including a white snakeskin look, Queen Nicki studies her subjects from a neon-lit throne.

The song was initially rumored to be a Cardi B diss track. “I ain’t ever have to strip to get the pole position / Hoes is dissin’? Okay, these hoes is wishin’ / You’re in no position to come for O’s position / I ain’t movin’ weight, but I’m in the dope position,” she raps. But producer Illmind later dismissed the rumors, saying that they worked on the track “back in late 2016, early 2017,” before the feud started.
