‘2 Chainz Full Circle’ premieres today on ESPN+.

2 Chainz has announced his brand-new documentary, 2 Chainz Full Circle.

Available to stream on ESPN’s digital platform ESPN+ later today, the film will look into the Grammy-winning rapper’s first love: basketball. 2 Chainz, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, shared the trailer on Instagram yesterday with the caption: “Y’all know Toni had Hoop dreams, so I’m more than honored.”

“Before any of the fame, before any of the rapping, we was just playing basketball,” the rapper said in the trailer. “All day, every day basketball.”

Before 2 Chainz became known for his mic skills, the rapper had a brief stint on the court. In tenth grade, Epps was the star sixth man for North Clayton High and caught the attention of scouters from the University of Memphis. He later earned a scholarship to Alabama State University and played on its basketball team from 1995 to 1997, according to ESPN.

Last week, 2 Chainz returned with his star-studded album, So Help Me God!. It included collaborations with Kanye West, Brent Faiyaz, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Kevin Gates, Lil Uzi Vert, Chief Keef, Rick Ross and more.
