Migos’ Takeoff steps out with “Last Memory”

From ‘The Last Rocket,’ the next solo project from the Atlanta trap trio.

After the success of their Culture albums, Migos—Quavo, Offset and Takeoff—are all taking turns to drop their solo projects. Earlier in the month, Quavo released Quavo Huncho, and late last week Takeoff dropped his latest solo single, “Last Memory.”

It’s a strong showing: Takeoff sprawls across a memorable beat centered on a wordless vocal sample by MonstaBeatz and brushed cymbals, a departure from the choppier, more claustrophobic sounds Migos have favored in the past.

In the video, Takeoff strolls around a darkened mansion, accompanied by beautiful women, guards who look like they’ve come straight from Buckingham Palace, and, curiously enough, a cat on a leash.


“Last Memory” is taken from The Last Rocket, which arrives Friday. In the meantime, watch the video below:
