Mick Jenkins makes directorial debut with video for “Percy”

The new track also features Qari.

Chicago-based rapper Mick Jenkins has released a video for the new song “Percy,” featuring Qari.

The self-directed clip marks the hip hop artist’s first time behind the camera. In the visual, the two rappers hang out at the beach with their crew while smoking up. “Gotta love the struggle, it’s the hustle I’m drawn into / Flipped the old-school and it didn’t need no 22s / This a Percy, I ain’t passing a blunt to who / All my n***as came with their own trees rolled,” Jenkins raps over the choppy greenSLLIME-produced beat.

“Percy” is Jenkins’ first track of the year, following features on Zac Flewids’ “10 Gallons” and ARLO’s “Changing.” Earlier this year, he revisited his 2018 album Pieces of a Man with a video for “Consensual Seduction.”
