MF Doom jumps on Wilma Archer’s “Last Sniff”

A cut from Archer’s forthcoming album, ‘A Western Circular.’

British producer Wilma Archer—formerly known as Slime—has dropped a gorgeous animated video for his latest song, “Last Sniff,” featuring rapper MF Doom.

The clip, which overlays hand-drawn renders over live-action footage, depicts a city’s seedy underbelly. It follows a truck driver as he passes sleazy bars and motels on the way home.

On the song, Doom lays down soulful bars about crooked cops and drug dealers. “Just be sure to avoid the blues in them boys and ’em / They not toyin’, taxpayers help employ ’em / They turn around and treat ’em more worser than the goyim,” he raps.

“Last Sniff” appears on Archer’s forthcoming album, A Western Circular. The record, which also features Samuel T Herring of Future Islands, Sudan Archives and Laura Groves, arrives April 3.
