Earlier in the week, Lanez shared on social media that he was dropping a new song and music video with Meg’s frequent collaborator, DaBaby. DaBaby had previously collaborated with the Houston rapper on the tracks Fever’s “Cash Shit” and Blame it on Baby’s “Nasty.”
“@dababy X TORY LANEZ ……… SONG + VISUALS ON THE WAY ….. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥” the Canadian rapper wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of himself and DaBaby.
Shortly after, DaBaby received backlash online, with some fans calling the rapper out for teaming up with Meg’s alleged shooter.

In response, the “Savage” rapper tweeted that Lanez and DaBaby’s forthcoming coming collab was “old and not cleared,” adding that she and the North Carolina rapper would soon release the music video for their own joint effort, “Cry Baby,” from her debut studio album Good News.

Meanwhile, DaBaby has yet to comment on his upcoming release with Lanez.
Last July, Lanez was arrested for allegedly firing shots at a house party in Hollywood Hills. Meg was later reported to have also been at the scene and suffered injuries to her foot, which were later revealed to be gunshot wounds. She later claimed that Lanez was the one who had shot her.
In September, Lanez broke his silence with the surprise album, DAYSTAR, which responded to Megan’s allegations. On it, he claimed that he had been “framed” by the media and Meg’s team. The following month, Lanez was charged with assault in connection to the July shooting, however, the rapper has since maintained his innocence by pleading not guilty.
