The remix of the track, which Baby dropped on his birthday last year, received a majestic music video. In the clip, both rappers rhyme on a frozen tundra, with Lil Baby flanked by a fortress of ice. But as soon as Megan begins her verse, the video takes a fiery turn and the Houston rapper delivers her lines on top of a volcano.
“Okay, he sensitive when it come to me / Talk shit like he runnin’ me / He’ll leave out and come right back / ’Cause he know them bitches can’t fuck with me,” she spits, exuding her trademark confidence.
Lil Baby’s most recent album was 2020’s My Turn, which debuted on top of the Billboard 200 upon release. The rapper also recently appeared on Young Thug’s stacked label compilation Slime Language 2 alongside other guests Drake, Travis Scott, Future and Lil Uzi Vert.
Megan’s appearance on the “On Me” remix comes just after last week’s announcement that she will be taking a temporary break from music to “recharge.” “Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle, Meg has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next,” she declared on Instagram.
“I’ll be back when it’s time,” Megan further reassured fans on Twitter.
The break follows a prolific streak for Megan, with her most recent release being the raunchy music video for her Good News track “Movie”. She also snagged multiple trophies at the 2020 Grammys, including Best New Artist and Best Rap Performance for the “Savage” remix featuring Beyoncé.
