Little Simz shares new single, “Rollin Stone”

Taken off her forthcoming album, ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.’

Little Simz has shared a futuristic new single called “Rollin Stone.”

Co-produced by Jakwob and Inflo, the track is the British rapper’s latest offering from her forthcoming album, Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, which is due this September.

“Stayed to myself, been true to the core / I was always the illest, there’s never been no cure,” Simz spits over a spacey beat. “Mummy handled business, Papa was a rollin’ stone / I’m a mix of both, there ain’t no bitch-boy in my bones.”

Simz announced Sometimes I Might Be Introvert—the follow-up to her 2019 album Grey Area—back in April. In a statement, she revealed the project was mostly recorded during quarantine and explores being introverted in an industry “where you’re expected to have this extroverted persona all the time.”

“I wanted to just let people know like, yo, I’m actually this way inclined… being this introverted person that has all these crazy thoughts and ideas and theories in my head and not always feeling like I’m able to express it if it’s not through my art,” she said.

Simz previously shared “Introvert” and “Woman” off the album. Listen to her latest single, “Rollin Stone,” below:
