Lil Yachty has got ‘Nuthin’ 2 Prove’ on his new record

Gone are his bubblegum rap days.

Lil Yachty’s third album, Nuthin’ 2 Prove, arrived last Friday.

The self-proclaimed King of the Teens, who built his career on goofy rhymes and sun-soaked beats, has finally steered away from bubblegum rap on this. Boasting 15 tracks, Nuthin 2 Prove is split between “rap” and “melodic,” as the rapper stated in a tweet. Bass-heavy, Migos-inspired beats like “I’m the Mac” and “Riley from the Boondocks” collide with dreamy, synth-driven numbers such as “Worth it” and “Stoney.”

The album also features star-studded cameos from Playboi Carti, Cardi B, Trippie Redd, Lil Baby, Gunna and more. Tay Keith, EarlThePearll and others are also credited on production.
