Lil Wayne jumps on Birdman, Juvenile’s new song, “Ride Dat”

Produced by Cash Money’s DRoc.

Louisana rappers Birdman and Juvenile have teamed up once again to unveil a new song, “Ride Dat.” It features a guest verse from fellow Southside emcee Lil Wayne.

The song, produced by Cash Money’s in-house beatmaker DRoc, follows Bubba and Juvi’s recent joint effort, Just Another Gangsta, which dropped earlier in March. The trio trade smooth bars over the cruisy, bass-driven melody, name-dropping a list of celebrities as they go along. “You want that Nicki, that Mary J, that Mariah shit / That Halle Berry, that Angelina, Sinatra shit / Desire shit, ain’t no side n***as or side chicks,” Birdman spits on the opening verse.

“Ride Dat” is the first time in three years since Weezy, Juvenile and Birdman appeared on a record together, Rolling Stone notes. The rappers, who were previously part of the hip hop supergroup Cash Money Millionaires, last linked up on Mannie Fresh’s 2016 song, “Hate.”
