Lil Wayne has a new album on the horizon

It might be his much-delayed ‘Funeral’ project.

Lil Wayne looks set to drop a new album before he hits the road with Blink-182 this summer.

Earlier this week, tickets for the rapper’s joint tour with the rock band went on pre-sale on Ticketmaster’s website. Eagle-eyed fans noticed an unusual message from the service provider during the checkout process that seems to confirm Tunechi’s forthcoming record:

Although no official confirmation has been given by Wayne or his management, the rapper has been dropping cryptic teasers as of late. Last month, the rapper took to Instagram Stories with a post of just a coffin emoji, leading fans to believe it’s a teaser for his long-awaited Funeral project.

For the uninitiated, the rapper has been talking about the project since 2016, when he sat down for an interview with The Nine Club. “Funeral is coming soon… I know we’ve been going through a lot of tough times right now, but if you a Wayne fan, we about to hold our heads high real soon,” the rapper said.

Fingers crossed that Funeral is indeed on its way. But while you wait, check out Wayne’s previous full-length, Tha Carter V, below:
