Lil Wayne drops new collabs with Post Malone, Gucci Mane

More ‘Tha Carter V’ goodies.

Lil Wayne has just dropped three bonus cuts for his latest album, Tha Carter V: “In This House,” “Hasta La Vista” and a remix of “What About Me.”

“In This House,” produced by Angel “Onhel” Aponte, features long-time collaborator Gucci Mane. The Droptopwop man kicks open the track with his smooth flow before Tunechi jumps in to name drop Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Eazy-E and MC Ren. It’s an instant club banger that samples Frank Ski’s 1993 “There’s Some Whores in This House” over an infectious, bass-heavy beat.

On “Hasta La Vista,” the New Orleans rapper flies solo. Over a hard-hitting instrumental, courtesy of Tay Keith, Wayne spits quick-fire bars about letting go of past relationships like “hot potato.”

Lastly, in the updated version of “What About Me,” Weezy recruits Post Malone to replace Taylor Gang’s Sosamann with an Auto-Tuned verse. According to Johnny Yukon, who co-wrote the track, Drake was initially set to appear on the original cut.

The initial idea was to get Drake on it,” he told Rolling Stone. “That was something [Lil Wayne] said to me that night [he recorded his vocals]… Then there were emails back and forth—‘They think Drake’s going to get on it.’” Who knows, maybe we’ll get Drake’s version of the song in the future.
