Lil Wayne recently pulled the plug on a gig after he claimed to have been ejected from his hotel that morning.
On Saturday, Wayne took to Twitter to tell his fans that he was canceling his show at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in St Louis, Missouri, following the alleged incident at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel. According to the New Orleans rapper, he and his crew were kicked out of their accommodation and the police got involved.
“Sorry not doing the show tonight in St Lou kuz I was just kik’d out the ritz and 12 got involve so I gotta slide,” the rapper wrote on Twitter. “Tht y’all f w me out here. Dam slime. It’s all luv tho.”
However, local police who were on the scene reported that the rapper and his entourage “voluntarily left” Ritz-Carlton’s premises. According to news outlet KMOV4, hotel guests complained about the smell of marijuana emanating from the rapper’s room. Weezy was told to open his balcony door for ventilation but allegedly got upset and started arguing with the hotel staff before leaving.
Wayne is currently on a co-headline tour with Blink-182. The rapper and pop-punk giants embarked on a joint 43-date trek across North America in July and will conclude their months-long tour on September 20 in Brooklyn, New York.
Weezy has hit multiple bumps in the road while on tour. In July, the rapper almost called it quits on stage but then assured fans that he would continue touring. Last month, the rapper canceled his stop in Tampa after “feeling under the weather” and then bailed on his Irvine gig, citing plane issues.
