Lil Uzi Vert has given an update on his long-awaited sophomore album, Eternal Atake, with a preview of a new single, “Futsal.”

On Sunday, Lil Uzi announced on Twitter that the new Eternal Atake song is a “dance record” and will be released next year. He also shared a sneak peek of the track with a clip of himself executing some fancy footwork, which he dubbed the “futsal shuffle.”

“THE FUTSAL SHUFFLE WILL TAKE OVER 2020,” he tweeted.

Lil Uzi revealed that Eternal Atake will drop in full “in no time,” adding that Tyler, the Creator forced him to finish the album. “Yes it’s true @tylerthecreator Told me my beats wasn’t hard enough,” he wrote. “I love that n***a honesty 🔥🔥 thanks big bro.”

2019 has been a frustrating year for Lil Uzi, to say the least. In April, the Philly rapper publically aired his frustrations with his old record label Generation Now. He claimed that its co-founders, DJ Drama and Don Cannon, were the reason behind his abrupt retirement announcement in January and the delay of Eternal Atake.

Earlier this year, the rapper dropped the song “Free Uzi” and followed it up with two more solo singles, “Sanguine Paradise” and “That’s a Rack.” It is not yet confirmed if any of the previously released songs will appear on Uzi’s forthcoming sophomore album.
