Lil Uzi Vert is back in the studio despite his ongoing feud with his record label Generation Now.

In a recent Instagram story post, the Philly rapper wrote “Back in the studio” and thanked Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, which is currently managing him, a source close to Complex confirmed.

The studio session comes after Uzi left a series of cryptic messages hinting that Generation Now co-founders DJ Drama and Don Cannon were the reason behind his abrupt retirement in January, resulting in the delay of his still-unreleased sophomore album, Eternal Atake. “If you want your album 2 drop Number One Rule don’t hang with the boss girlfriend,” the rapper wrote in one post.

However, Drama quashed the claims, saying “Uzi should put EA out tomorrow or any day he wants.” He also added that the rapper has his and Cannon’s “total support and blessings to drop [the album].”

Lil Uzi Vert’s Eternal Atake is one of our most anticipated albums of 2019, so here’s hoping it sees the light of day.
