Lil Uzi Vert’s new song “Sasuke” has nothing to do with ‘Naruto’

A surprise drop coming a month after ‘Eternal Atake.’

Lil Uzi Vert has dropped a surprise new track, “Sasuke.”

Though Uzi’s love of Japanese anime is well-documented, the song is actually unrelated to the beloved series Naruto and one of its protagonists Sasuke, as the rapper makes clear: “This is not no Naruto, but I chop that like Sasuke.”

Rather, Uzi lets off boasts and brags centering on his favorite topics: women, cars, luxury brands and money. “Get the words out the way, I gotta go / Runnin’ the game like a track meet / Go on, li’l n***a, just get all your dough / I gotta keep this shit classy,” he raps.

“Sasuke” comes a month after Uzi dropped his long-awaited album Eternal Atake and its hefty deluxe edition. The record, which a producer revealed was delayed due to numerous leaks, came with the bonus tracks “That Way” and “Futsal Shuffle 2020.”
