Lil Uzi Vert interpolates the Backstreet Boys on “That Way”

The crossover we never knew we needed.

Lil Uzi Vert has released a new throwback song, “That Way.”

On the bouncy track, Uzi spits rhythmic bars over a beat that interpolates the Backstreet Boys’ 1999 hit single, “I Want it That Way.” “I don’t wanna go out bad, don’t wanna go out sad, not that way / I’m with the winnin’ team, they make sure I’m not in last place / If I wake up, don’t make no money, that’s a sad day / Twenty-five hundred for my shirt what the tag say,” he raps.

Last week, the Philadelphia rapper announced on Instagram Live that his long-delayed sophomore album, Eternal Atake, would arrive in two weeks, putting the highly anticipated project’s drop date at March 13. The rapper later reiterated the two-week deadline on Twitter, although he has yet to reveal any other details about the album.
