Lil Uzi Vert and G-Eazy hop on David Guetta’s “Motto”

From the new album, ‘7,’ by the grandfather of EDM.

Last Friday, David Guetta released 7, his first album in four years, and it’s bursting at the seams with features by A-list artists—including Lil Uzi Vert and G-Eazy, both of whom appear on “Motto.”

Uzi and Young Gerald jump on the short-but-swinging track, which also features Steve Aoki and Mally Mall. It’s a pleasant surprise to hear Uzi flow so smoothly over such a loud, brash beat; G-Eazy doesn’t flop on his verse, either—listen out for the jokey ad libs and asides, from a comment by his accountant to the sound of a squeaky bedspring.

Uzi and G-Eazy have just wrapped up their Endless Summer tour of North America together, developing an adorable friendship along the way (just check out this Instagram shot). It’s a pity the tour is over—“Motto” is a banger that would no doubt send a live audience through the roof.
