Lil Jon has released “Ain’t No Tellin’,” featuring the late Mac Dre.

The bouncy single combines Dre’s lines from his 1996 single, “Gumbo,” with unreleased master recordings provided by the late rapper’s mother, Mac Wanda. “I’m humbled beyond words that Mac Dre’s mother has entrusted me with this opportunity and access to master tapes,” Jon told XXL. “This final version is incredible. I had to do right by Mac Dre, he is a legend and it meant a lot to me to make sure I did this right.”

Wanda, in turn, is appreciative of Jon’s efforts to honor her late son’s legacy. “I truly believe Jon and I were meant to come together for this to happen. He’s properly honoring Dre, the Bay and certainly the sound,” she said to XXL. “I appreciate all the people that have reached out about honoring the legacy of my son—and those that have helped me through this—and to now have Jon bring his music back to Mac Dre fans and hopefully to some new young ones as well.”

“Ain’t No Tellin’” is the latest release from Jon, following his Christmas single “All I Really Want for Christmas” in collaboration with Kool-Aid.
