Lil Gotit and Future join forces for “What it Was” music video

From Gotit’s forthcoming project ‘Crazy But it’s True 2.’

Lil Gotit has released a video for “What it Was,” his collaboration with Future released in June.

Over a D Hill-produced beat, the two ATLiens rap about their respective come-ups. The new clip lets their lyrics shine with simple shots of the two rappers delivering their bars before an illuminated cross and bright green luxury car.

Future handles the addictive chorus: “I done came out the gutter, I came out the street / Got my dawg off the leash, got that cutter on me / I been drinking on mud and they crucify me / But I’m staying thug.”

“What it Was” will appear on Lil Gotit’s upcoming project, Crazy But it’s True 2—the sequel to his 2019 project, which included assists from Gunna, Lil Keed, Lil Durk, HoodRich Pablo Juan and more. In April, Gotit released Hood Baby 2, which was in turn the sequel to his 2018 debut studio album.
