Lil Durk unleashes new album, ‘The Voice’

The follow-up to ‘Just Cause Y’all Waited 2’ is here.

After several leaks and delays, Lil Durk has finally released his much-anticipated album, The Voice.

The record arrived on Christmas Eve and included several guest spots, including a posthumous appearance from King Von on the menacing “Still Trappin’.” Durk also paid tribute to the late rapper and his fellow labelmate with a picture of the two rappers on the cover of the record.

Other guest artists on The Voice include 6LACK, Young Thug, YNW Melly and Booka600. The 16-track album also features the previously released single “Backdoor” and the title track.

The Voice marks Durk’s sixth studio album and the follow-up to his May mixtape, Just Cause Y’all Waited 2, which received a deluxe edition a month later. Prior to that, the Chicago rapper released Family Over Everything, a 2019 compilation featuring artists on his Only the Family label roster among other guests.
