Lil Baby’s concert in Alabama interrupted by shooting

The incident left one person wounded.

On Sunday night (March 8), Lil Baby’s concert at the Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham, Alabama was cut short when gunfire broke out in the middle of the rapper’s set.

According to Billboard, Lil Baby was performing the song “My Dawg,” from his 2017 album Harder than Hard, when an offstage altercation between two men interrupted his set. Attendees said that at least one shot was fired inside the venue, sending both the rapper and the crowd running for cover.

Police arrived soon after to shut down the concert and forced attendees to clear out of the venue. Only one person was critically injured and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities confirmed to local news outlets.


No arrests have been made at the time of this report. A spokesperson for Lil Baby has also yet to release a statement.

Lil Baby recently released his sophomore album, My Turn, which featured collaborations with Future, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug and Lil Wayne. The rapper is currently touring North America in support of the LP.
