Kojey Radical celebrates birthday with “28 & Sublime” freestyle

“When it’s time to drop the album, they can’t tell me nothing.”

Kojey Radical has celebrated his 28th birthday with a new freestyle titled “28 & Sublime.”

The AJ Jones-produced track is the London rapper’s first release of 2021, and dropped alongside a the black-and-white video, directed by Marta Strauss. In the clip, Kojey dances in the street to his own freestyle, and enjoys birthday cake and champagne.

“I count every L I took, I think it stand for lucky / I still paint a pretty picture when the palette ugly / Please don’t switch and come back, man, that shit disgusting,” he spits. “When it’s time to drop the album, they can’t tell me nothing / When I’m Grammy-nominated, please don’t say we cousins.”

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY [TO] ME. Woke up feeling extremely grateful, time to celebrate,” Radical wrote on Instagram, alongside a snippet of the track.

Radical released his last full-length project, Cashmere Tears, in 2019. He also previously teamed up with Mahalia on “One Night Only,” from her Season EP.
