Kid Cudi teases ‘Man on the Moon III’ album

The final installment in the rapper’s ‘Man on the Moon’ trilogy is coming.

Man on the Moon III, the highly anticipated final installment in Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon trilogy, is finally on the way.

On October 27, Cudder announced the album with a teaser trailer titled “The Trilogy Continues…” The minute-long clip opens with snippets of old music videos from the past two albums—2009’s The End of Day and 2010’s The Legend of Mr Rager—before it cuts to a shot of the rapper observing a lunar eclipse.

As the camera zooms into his face, Cudi lights up a cigarette and eerie music plays in the background. Slowly, the number three, written in Roman numerals, appears on screen, followed by the word “Soon.” No other details surrounding the release has been confirmed yet.

It is currently unclear if Man on the Moon III will be a separate release from Entergalactic, an album Cudi announced back in 2019. That record is expected to soundtrack the rapper’s upcoming animated Netflix show of the same name, though release dates for neither project have been confirmed.

Cudi has dropped several songs throughout 2020. In April, he returned with “Leader of the Delinquents,” his first solo single in three years, and later followed up with collaborations with Travis Scott and Eminem.
