It seems like Kid Cudi is spending his self-isolation in the studio. The rapper recently teased on social media new music that he’s been working on.
Cudi shared a 14-second snippet on his Instagram stories on Tuesday night, though without any specific details about the song. The clip features the rapper slinging heavily Auto-Tuned bars over laid-back production. “Got these voices in my head,” he rap-sings. “Guess I’ll talk to them instead / Cause real n***as don’t cry for help / Stubborn men won’t go to hell.” Check out the snippet below.

Last summer, Cudi announced that a follow-up to his 2016 solo LP, Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, was on the way. Titled Entergalactic, the record will soundtrack an upcoming animated Netflix show of the same name. Cudi is expected to star, write and executive produce the series alongside Black-ish creator Kenya Barris. An official release date for either project has not yet been confirmed, although Cudder assured both will drop sometime in 2020.
In a September interview with Complex, Cudi revealed that he and Ye are working on a sequel to their 2018 Kids See Ghosts project. “It’s kinda weird, ’cause with the first album, I didn’t know how serious he was about making a collab album with me,” Cudi said. “He had mentioned it, but I thought it was just a good idea he had in the moment. But then he kept bringing it up and kept having me come to his house, listen to music, and work on beats, so I was like, ‘Wow, he’s really into this.’”
