Kid Cudi is launching a podcast to “comfort the lonely”

Cudder’s new series is currently in the works.

Kid Cudi has announced plans for a new podcast.

Earlier this week, Cudder asked his Twitter followers if he should launch his own podcast series. And after his fans unanimously agreed, the rapper decided to share some details and ideas about his new project. According to Cudi, his podcast will be centered around love and positive vibes and “no shit-talking.”

“Only uplifting artists and talkin’ with my friends and fans,” he wrote. “It’ll be like ur hangin’ with me, smoking and shooting the shit for a while.” Cudi also added that he wants his podcast to be able to “comfort the lonely.”

Cudi has also been relatively busy on the music front lately. In April, he released his first solo single in three years, “Leader of the Delinquents.” It was followed shortly by a joint track with Travis Scott titled “The Scotts.” Their collab premiered during a Fortnite concert and later claimed the number one spot on Billboard’s Hottest 100 chart.

Cudi has also been teasing his highly anticipated Entergalactic album with snippets of new songs. The follow-up to 2016’s Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’, the rapper’s new record will be accompanied by an animated Netflix series of the same name. Both projects are only expected to land “next summer,” according to Cudi and the show’s executive producer Kenya Barris.

Kid Cudi wouldn’t be the first rapper to become a podcast host. Last month, Lil Wayne launched his own Young Money Radio, which featured guests like Nicki Minaj, Drake, Migos and Eminem.

Neither the launch date or name for Cudi’s new podcast series has been announced yet. Stay tuned for more updates.
