Kevin Gates has dropped “Double Dutch (In Amsterdam Witt it),” another taste of his forthcoming sophomore album, I’m Him.

The track is anchored by a pulsing, bass-heavy beat courtesy of Pi’erre Bourne, which provides the perfect platform for Gates’ swaggering bars.

“I hope you know I ain’t just rappin’ with you / I had my back against the ropes, you started actin’ different / My nuts be hangin’ to the floor, I got that package with me / Straight off the boat, I got that dope and got to swaggin’ with it,” he spits.

“Double Dutch” follows previous I’m Him singles “Push it,” “Neva Land (I’m in the H Witt it)” and “Facts.” Gates has been dropping hints about his sophomore album since 2017 and has revealed it will be his most personal project to date.

“I’m watching Kevin Gates grow,” the rapper—speaking in the third person—recently told Billboard. “I’m proud of it. He’s starting not to make excuses. He’s starting to hold himself accountable. I’m proud of him. It took a little longer [than] it took for most people. Women mature faster than men, but I’m proud of him.”

I’m Him drops August 30. Listen to “Double Dutch (In Amsterdam Witt it)” below:
