Kanye West’s new album, ‘Jesus is King,’ is out now

After yet another last-minute delay.

At long last, Kanye West has released his new album, Jesus is King.

West’s ninth studio album and the follow-up to his 2018 record Ye, Jesus is King was initially due out in September. But the month came and went without an album, and the record’s release date was shifted to October 25.

But at 1am on Friday, West announced yet another last-minute delay. After thanking his fans for “being loyal and patient,” he tweeted, “We are specifically fixing mixes on ‘Everything We Need, ‘Follow God’ and ‘Water.’ We not going to sleep until this album is out!” And now, it has finally arrived.

Yesterday, West’s new film—also titled Jesus is King—debuted in IMAX theaters worldwide. The 35-minute movie, directed by Nick Knight, captures a Sunday Service performance in a James Turrell installation in the Painted Desert of Arizona.

West also recently gave an interview to Beats 1 host Zane Lowe, where he revealed that he will release another album, Jesus is Born, at Christmas.
