Kamaiyah and Capolow have dropped their new joint mixtape, Oakland Nights.
Prior to the release of the project, the two Bay Area rappers had previously teamed up on the song “Digits,” which appears on Kamaiyah’s Got it Made mixtape. Their new ten-track tape also features contributions from RJMrLA and Keak da Sneak.
On Instagram, Kamaiyah revealed that the duo’s work on “Digits” eventually led to Oakland Nights. “When we created ‘Digits’ it sounded so good it ended up turning into another song another song and eventually into what you’re about to hear this Friday,” she wrote. “I think he’s the next big thing to come out of Oakland and I stand by that wholeheartedly and I enjoyed working with this talented young player.”
Oakland Nights marks the second project of the year for both artists, following Kamaiyah’s previously mentioned Got it Made mixtape and Capolow’s March release, Room 304.
